Andrés received his J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law. He was born and raised in Cuba where he was a medical student prior to moving to the United States in 2006. Andrés graduated from Stanford University in 2012, earning a B.A. in Anthropology.

He received the Advocates for Public Interest Law Fellowship to work at the Medical-Legal Partnership for Children in Hawaii after his 1L year and the Access to Justice Tech Fellowship to work at LawHelpNY following his 2L year. Andrés served as Casetext’s ambassador and was an editor for the American Bar Association Law Student Division, where he published various articles both on the Student Lawyer magazine and the Before the Bar blog. During his 3L year, Andrés presented on two panels, at the Legal Services Corporation Innovation in Technology Conference, one on diversity and inclusion in legal tech and the other discussing privacy issues in the U.S.
